TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply for the lodge accommodation as well as for all other services provided by Jungle Land Panama to the guest.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ AND UNDERSTAND THE CONDITIONS OF BOOKING SET OUT BELOW PRIOR TO BOOKING A TRIP WITH US.
RATES - All rates displayed are in USD dollars and are inclusive of taxes. All prices quoted are per person, per night, unless otherwise stated.
PRICE GUARANTEE – All tour prices and overnights are based on rates known at the time of printing and expected to be in effect at the time of departure. Prices are subject to increase without notice if such rates change prior to departure.
The current price will be confirmed at the time of reservation. However, once the company has received your deposit, that land price is guaranteed, and any subsequent land cost increases are at our expense, not including surcharges and any government tax increases.
PRICE INCLUDES – Price includes all items listed under “includes”, including charges for planning and operating the tour.
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE – Price does not include expenses and items not mentioned, including international or national air transportation, tips, travel insurance, telephone calls, laundry service, and other items of a personal nature.
DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT – Confirmation require full payment at the time of booking to secure reservations. Overnight stays can be book with a 50% deposit if the reservation is made more than 60 days in advance but must be fully paid 30 days prior to arrival. Any adjustments to be made to the final figure must be in writing and approved in advance by the visitor and the company.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS – Once a tour or overnight has been booked and paid, the cancelation must be received in writing and incur the following penalties:
If you cancel 30 days before your stay there is a 10% fee on the total reservation.
If you cancel in less than 30 days but before 2 weeks, there is a 20% cancelation fee.
If you cancel in less than 14 days but before 3 days, there is a 25% cancelation fee plus the $82 (if applies) wire transfer.
Cancellations 3 days before there is no refund on overnights and 48 hrs on tours no refund, but we do allow booking another date with a $25 per person booking fee.
If you have flu/Covid conditions, supported by a medical certificate, we will hold 100% of your payment on credit (for an indefinite period) or we will refund minus bank fees.
Bookings made via an online agent such as Booking.com, Expedia, or Tripadvisor must be canceled by the guest via this agent before Jungle Land is able to formally cancel the booking.
Jungle Land Panama will operate within the consumer guarantees act & fair-trading act
RESPONSIBILITY – The company confirms that accommodation, transfers, day tours have been reserved for relevant days of this program as per the aforementioned itinerary.
CHANGES – Subject to availability of space.
RIGHT TO CANCEL - We may cancel your reservation at any time with immediate effect by giving you written notice (which includes email) if you do not pay us when you are required to do so or you breach your contract with us in any other material way. If we cancel your reservation where you are at fault, we reserve our legal rights in respect of your breach of contract.
We may also cancel your reservation if an event outside of our control (including terrorism, natural disasters, political instability, or other external events) means that we are unable to make your room or tour available to you. In such event, we will contact you to let you know as soon as possible and if you have already paid for your room, we will refund your payment to you, or if you have not yet paid for your room, you will not have to make any payment to us.
Save as set out above, we will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that are caused by an event outside of our control. Such limitation of liability does not affect your statutory rights.
THIRD-PARTY BOOKINGS - Bookings made through a third-party website are subject to that site’s terms and conditions. Please be aware these may differ from ours.
AGE LIMITS – Due to the nature of the lodge we only accept children 3 years and up.
For our trips, we have no upper age limit though we remind you that our trips can be physically demanding and passengers must ensure that they are suitably fit to allow full participation. We are able to provide details on mandatory health requirements, however, we are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice prior to your arrival.
MAXIMUM ROOM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests per room is 6 in single beds.
INFORMATION FROM YOU -The terms of our access to the Panama Canal and authorities require us to collect certain information in respect of each customer participating in a tour. If you do not provide the required information, we cannot finalize the booking.
Please advise us of any dietary or other requirements at the time of booking and when you reconfirm your tour.
Any requirement must be raised with the reservations team in advance of the tour. Failure to do so may result in us being unable to accommodate your requirements on the day of your tour.
TRAVEL INSURANCE – Jungle Land Panama strongly recommends that at the time of booking you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover items including but limited to loss of booking amount through cancellation, loss or damage to personal luggage or possessions, loss of money, Covid and medical-related expenses.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK - You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will be visiting places where attributes present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in our daily lives. It is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel.
CLAIMS AND COMPLAINTS - If you have a complaint about your trip please inform your group leader or our local representative at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of the end of the tour.
PHOTOS AND MARKETING - You consent to us using images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
CERTIFICATION – The company holds an operation certificate # 2001 – 6821 in the Republic of Panama.
BE COVID SAFE - In response to the global coronavirus health crisis, we have made some changes to how we operate. The health and safety of our guests, staff, and community remain our top priority and as such we will continue to follow all government and health department directives to ensure we minimize risk. We ask that all guests check the safety guidelines to travel to Panama on the official website for information regarding any current travel restrictions prior to making any bookings. Extra precautions are being taken regarding catering preparation and allocation. All guests will be asked to sanitize their hands every time they board the boats, and all transports will be undergoing additional cleaning and sanitizing after all trips. All guests must be free of any cold or flu-like symptoms, those displaying symptoms will not be permitted to board. Any guests who have booked travel and who fall ill are asked to contact our team to advise as soon as possible.
