We depart from the Gamboa public dock for a 40-minute trip surrounded by the stunning views of the rainforest surrounding the Panama Canal. You will be transferred by motor boat to the only lodge bordering Gatun Lake. From there, you'll board a two-person kayak and paddle to a nearby river. The river is narrow and goes deeper into the surrounding forest. Breathe in that fresh air and let yourself be enveloped by the peace and serenity of the forest as you glide through a tropical paradise.

You'll spend two to three hours on the water, paddling and taking breaks along the way. We will explore hidden streams and look for wildlife along the route. Sometimes curious and lazy monkeys surprise us along the way.

Depending on the time of year, it may be foggy early in the morning. You will be able to observe many types of birds and animals in their natural habitat. On the return trip to the lodge you can swim, cool off and enjoy a delicious lunch. We will visit Monkey Island while returning to Gamboa public dock by motor boat.
