TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply for the lodge accommodation as well as for all other services provided by Jungle Land Panama to the guest.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ AND UNDERSTAND THE CONDITIONS OF BOOKING SET OUT BELOW PRIOR TO BOOKING A TRIP WITH US.
RATES - All rates displayed are in USD dollars and are inclusive of taxes. All prices quoted are per person, per night, or per service, unless otherwise stated.
PRICE GUARANTEED: All prices for tours and overnight stays are based on rates known at the time of quote and expected to be current on the required date. As a result of increased taxes or fuel costs, prices are subject to increase without prior notice if there are no credit payments.
PRICE INCLUDES: Price includes all items listed in "includes", including charges for planning and operating the tour.
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE – The price does not include expenses and concepts not mentioned, including national or international air transportation, tips, travel insurance, telephone calls, laundry service and other personal items.
DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT – Confirmation requires full payment at the time of booking to secure reservations. Overnight stays can be booked with a 20% deposit (non-refundable for reservation administrative charges and payment bank charges) if the reservation is made more than 60 days in advance but must be fully paid 15 days prior to arrival. Any adjustments to be made to the final figure must be in writing and approved in advance by the visitor and the company.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Once a tour or stay has been booked and paid for, cancellation must be received in writing and the following penalties will be incurred:
If you cancel 30 days prior to your stay, a 20% fee will be applied to the total reservation.
If you cancel less than 30 days but before 2 weeks, a 40% cancellation fee will be applied.
If you cancel less than 14 days but before 3 days, a 60% cancellation fee will be applied plus the $82 bank transfer (if applicable).
If you cancel 3 days prior, no refund will be applied for one night stay and 48 hours prior, no refund will be applied for tours, but we do allow rebooking with a $25 per person booking fee for up to a year.
If cancellations are due to the death of a close relative or due to illness of one of the participants supported by a medical certificate, we will refund 80% of your payment on credit (for a period of one year) or we will refund this amount less the bank commissions generated from the bank transfers if applicable or the bank costs of payment for use of credit card.
Reservations made through an online agent such as viator, DMC, Tour Operator or others must be cancelled by the guest through this sales agent and the terms and conditions of refund already mentioned apply.
Jungle Land Panama will operate within the consumer guarantee law and the fair trade law.
RESPONSIBILITY – The company confirms through an invoice and together with the suppliers that accommodation, transfers and excursions have been booked, the itinerary described on our website or any other additional requested.
CHANGES – Subject to space availability.
RIGHT TO CANCEL: We may cancel your booking at any time with immediate effect by written notice (including email) if you fail to pay us when required to do so or if you breach your contract with us in any other material way. If we cancel your booking because of your fault, we reserve our legal rights in respect of your breach of contract.
We may also cancel your booking if an event outside our control (including terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events) means that we are unable to make your room or tour available to you. In such an event, we will contact you to let you know as soon as possible and, if you have already paid for your room, we will refund your payment or, if you have not yet paid for your room, you will not have to make any payment.
Except as set out above, we will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of any of our obligations that is caused by an event outside our control such as strong winds, road accidents, floods, damage to engines or vehicles, although we will attend to your requests to mitigate and not affect your rights.
THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS: Bookings made through a third party website are subject to that site's terms and conditions. Please note that these may differ from ours.
AGE LIMITS or DISABLED GUESTS: Due to the nature of the lodge, we only accept children 3 years and older.
The boats are rustic, with wooden seats and backrests, requiring leg mobility to climb onto them. The lodge has stairs for use of the bar, pool or to reach the rooms.
Not recommended for visually impaired or wheelchair users.
MAXIMUM ROOM OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests per room is 5 people (accommodation in two queen beds and one extra bed at an additional cost).
YOUR INFORMATION: For security reasons, we collect the names and nationalities, dietary restrictions and allergies of clients who request our services.
Please ensure that you provide these or other details at the time of booking and when reconfirming your tour.
Any requirements must be raised with the reservations team prior to the tour so that we can accommodate your requirements and provide you with the costs if applicable.
Personal information is collected and managed in accordance with our privacy policy.
TRAVEL INSURANCE – Jungle Land Panama recommends that at the time of booking you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers, among others, loss of the reservation amount due to cancellation, loss or damage to luggage or personal belongings, loss of money, medical expenses and expenses related to force majeure events or illness or accident.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK – You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and that participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will visit places where the attributes present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in our daily lives. It is also your own responsibility to familiarize yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and agree that you are aware of the personal risks involved in such travel.
COMPLAINTS AND CLAIMS - If you have any complaints about our services please inform your group leader or our local representative at the time so they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means, any further complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the completion of the tour.
PHOTOS AND MARKETING - You agree to the use of images of yourself taken during the tour for advertising and promotional purposes in any media we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for advertising and promotional purposes.
CERTIFICATION - The company holds an operating certificate # 2001 – 6821 in the Republic of Panama.
PRIVACY POLICY: Information provided to Jungle Land Panama as a result of your online booking is completely confidential. Any personal information we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of the trip or to send you marketing material in relation to our events and special offers.
Information may be shared with our agents, service providers, involved in your services. Otherwise and at your direction we will treat your data in accordance with our privacy policy.
